There is an old saying History repeats itself, well yesterday it happen just a few miles south of KDH are the sand dunes of Nags Head. A perfect replica of the 1903 glider designed and flown by the Wright Bros. set aviation in motion never to be the same. It was like looking back into time as I photographed this modern day event.
Well today after giving thanks to God I had a family portrait session scheduled. Of course mother nature had other plans for the OBX. We have had an amazing warm winter up to two days ago and bam it hit with rain, wind, and diving temps. So we had moved inside at the Hilton and did the portrait session when we got this wonderful surprise "SUNSHINE" and the wind backed off a bit so we finished some shots on the beach using this cypress driftwood as a prop. After the session the family left happy and I went to playing in the light before the clouds rolled back in and temps went falling below 40 deg. Maybe this is a sign of spring is on it's way!!!
What more can be said about this place we call the Outer Banks. It can be gloomy and cold and bam your standing in the pot of gold.

Wow, I had to look up my password I guess it's been a while since posting. Well last night on the OBX was sweet!!!! God Almighty doing His and only His artistic work in the skies. This was a bit after the spectacular light show in the twilight as this lone cypress became the center of attention.
