" Last weeks Bride"
Still editing photos from last weekend's wedding as well as the wedding before that. I guess you could say I'm a little behind. Kristan should be getting back from her honeymoon in a few days so maybe this will help me get out of a little trouble as most brides are looking for their photos. Oh well my bad, also I leave for Virginia in the morning to shoot a wedding, fun just never comes to an end.
Enjoy

"Head Dip the Hard Way"
I took this shot a couple of weeks ago of an unknown kite boarder pulling off some nice maneuvers on the sound side in Waves. Also this shot is on the front page of the VA Pilot Coast this week. Anyone recognize this guy let me know.

"Way to Cool"

"Currituck Style"
It's always nice to shoot a "Local Wedding" with local style. Who said this bride can't jump?
Only in Currituck will you find the groom and groomsmen dressed in CAMO VEST, TIES, and BOOTS, and the brides maids stepping out in strapless leaf green dresses. With the temps hitting a blistering 97 deg. they still had enough for a few jumps before hitting the food and much needed liquids. More to come.

"Ah Beach Weddings"
Saturday's wedding was looking a bit iffy at best due to a heavy rain storm pushing thru 20 min before show time. Everybody worked it out and the ceremonies rolled thru just as the storm had done 30 or 40 min earlier. God was smiling on this group as a rainbow appeared over the Atlantic giving us all that peace only God can provide. Rainbow photo to come later>

"Carolina Blue"
I took this group of brown pelicans doing a fly over as the wedding was taken place and wanted to use it so this is what I came up with on the first attempt. I will go back to this image and fine tune it at a later date.

June 6th, 2009

No matter how many weddings I do everyone is different and this one was one I will remember for some time. Casey & Zachary put a new meaning to fun and highlighted the event with a few surprises along the way. I won't go into great detail but the sharing of the cake or should I say the smearing of the cake I have no words that can explain it so the photos will have to be the evidence. Casey (1), Zachary (0). Then Zachary upped the anti and sealed the deal by slightly pushing his bride in the pool during their first dance. Maybe she lost her balance (are you kidding) she was pushed and sunk to the bottom like a rock, but she came up laughing and the evening went on.
Here are a few earlier photos before the show began.

Germany Bound

"Todays Army"
Today was one of those bitter sweet days as many friends said our good-byes to Rebecca as she will serve her first deployment in Germany as a US Army Nurse. Time just seems to be passing by very quickly as our children are becoming young adults and setting off to carve their own ways. My wife and I, parents of two sons serving know how proud Rebecca's parents are as we are also very proud of her.
Not to take away from those service men and women who have been honored a heros honor, I do believe each one who is and have served all have a heros mentality not just to protect each other but to protect the freedoms of our nation. Sometimes it saddens my heart as many in this country have no respect or understanding of these men an women who selflessly give their lives if need be so our country and it's freedoms remain.
Please take a moment from time to time to keep all of them in your prayers and may God bless them and keep them safe.
